Have you ever had a client look at you with desperate eyes, expecting you to deliver all the answers on how they can nail that funding?
Or have you woken up with sweats at 3 in the morning, wondering, ‘What magic tool out there have I yet to learn, that can get this organization to change people’s lives at a magnitude they had never dreamed of possible?’
‘Are my tools still sharp and relevant? Am I still relevant?’

That feeling of burden to deliver for your clients, and that sense of competition with fellow consultants in a world of seemingly scarce opportunities, can feel isolating.
But the practice of making systems change happen, no matter how complex, can become more powerful, more personally enriching, and more joyful—when done in community with others who understand exactly what it's like to do what you do.

If you:
- crave constantly learning that new critical skill and the latest knowledge on systems change and beyond
- want a tribe of trusted peers from all over the globe, who get what you go through and who will remind you why you decided to do this work in the first place,
then Weave yourself into our crew.
Be part of this exciting new community for coaches, by coaches.
But there are many communities out there. Why add a new one?
Will this community really help me with my craft? I get new contracts just fine.
I’m already busy enough with the tasks I have to do. Why should I join another community and add yet another platform?

I love being a consultant.
That intoxicating feeling when you get leaders to a major breakthrough—there's no other feeling quite like it!
But while I truly enjoy being a consultant, it can sometimes feel lonely.
The loneliest I felt was when I worked as a coach on systems change for an NGO. I felt like I was pushing a boulder up a mountain, trying to get them to imbibe a framework so different from how they had always thought. I wished I could have been working with a partner then (but their budget couldn’t afford it), or at least have had a crew of trusted peers whom I could turn to.
I realized that until I became a systems change coach, I took communities for granted.
There were too many of them, and with my snobbish facilitator standards, I thought most communities were mediocre at best, and mind-numbing at worst. (Did I mention that I was snobbish about these things? 😅) There was none that had MAGIC—where I felt a deep sense of belonging and joy, and where I gladly returned without anyone asking me to.
Then I started meeting other consultants through the design phase of Co-Impact. There were many beautiful moments and a feeling of deep connection with a few people who were like me! We said we’d keep in touch. We said we’d find ways to work together. But then the couch in my home office beckoned, and the moment was gone.
Now, I hanker for that magic that I couldn’t find anywhere, and I know I am not alone in that feeling.
Co-Impact’s Program Partners, and many other organizations seeking to change systems, have a constantly growing need.
And yet the handful of us, "systems change coaches" (if you even use that label), are all scattered out there, feeling our way into a field that is clamoring for what we have to give and what we can still learn.
To be fair, Co-Impact came to me to help nourish a group of systems change coaches who can support their Program Partners, and what I heard was, “Do you, Kriz, want to create the tribe of your dreams?” (Maybe that wasn’t the real question, but that’s what I heard!)
So here I am, saying a loud, YES!

As a community, we will:
hold peer learning circles, where we can workshop ideas or questions, share and ask for insights on the most pressing challenges of our individual practice
create special spaces of quiet and communing (that we often create for others but rarely enjoy ourselves), so we can preserve our calm reflexivity, refill our tanks and keep that strategic sharpness
constantly learn new, fun things together, to keep magnifying our impact on the world (and not tire of repeating that same trick over and over ;-)
start a movement that creates much stronger visibility and recognition for Global South consultants.
“Weave” is from the traditional weaving found in indigenous communities common across countries in Latin America, Asia, and Africa—the same countries where the coaches come from or dedicate their incredible work to. Weave therefore highlights the Global South identity of our community.

Weave also represents the idea of coming together by different colored strands—each unique in their own ways, like the coaches, but together form a beautiful tapestry that holds or lifts the work of actors that change systems. It emphasizes diversity and coming together—the two strengths and aspirations of our community.
Finally, Weave symbolizes the often unsung but critical role of coaches—how we connect the dots, and help to tie together disparate or forgotten ideas, sources of inspiration, relationships or strategic nuggets of wisdom that leaders may have lost along the way because of all the constant doing and running that they find themselves in.
As coaches who accompany but not do the work ourselves, we see with clarity what organizations or groups often don’t. So as a community, one of our key goals will be to further enrich and lean into this unique superpower.
Think of it as that gym membership, or that magazine subscription, or that conference you pay for to become better at your tradecraft. Except it’s filled with awesome human beings who are both like you, but also bring something so, so different.
1. Member-Only Learning Circles
These are monthly gatherings where we get to workshop a question or an idea, share a struggle or ask for insights with the group, based on live work challenges or cases we are dealing with. These sandboxes are where, with a container of trust that we will build together, we can get real on how we can navigate the complexities of our work. We also invite organizations who have been working on systems change, as well as other external experts on topics that members find essential for their coaching work.
2. Resource Library
Access sample agendas for workshops and other trade tools, links to books, podcasts or research on systems change and other critical topics.
3. Optional engagement with Co-Impact staff
For those who have questions or want to bounce ideas off with Co-Impact staff as you accompany a Program Partner, you can participate in voluntary engagement spaces with Co-Impact (we will discuss as a community on the best form for this). Client confidentiality is absolutely paramount in these spaces, and no one is obliged to come to these spaces. This is simply an offer in response to requests by some coaches to have the ability to chat with Co-Impact staff, including how to better evolve Co-Impact’s framework on systems change given the coaches’ experience working with organizations on the ground. (Of course, you are also free to reach out directly to Co-Impact outside of this community!)
4. Community Forum
Use our newsfeed (which we call "The Loom") to share and ask for insights, private chats to connect directly with members, and smaller community spaces to organize mastermind groups on specific topics with members with the same interest. In short, you will have access to all social networking features that will enable you to have an authentic community of professional kins, mentors, and even lifelong friends!

While this community is borne out of the need of Co-Impact’s Program Partners to have access to coaches who are steeped in systems change, and while Kriz, the Host, is currently being paid by Co-Impact as a consultant to host this community until December 2025, Weave is a completely independent community. Its activities and future direction are determined solely by its members, and our hope is that the membership fees can eventually cover the costs of hosting, technological platform subscription and other expenses for keeping the community humming.
This means that while Co-Impact’s funding enabled the seeds of this idea to become a reality, members are not expected to provide any deliverables or render any service to Co-Impact or even the community. Weave is completely voluntary, and is meant to be a space chosen by members because of your own interests and needs, and what brings you joy. :-)
Not to Kriz for sure ;-) Kriz is currently being paid by Co-Impact to do this fun hosting work, and Co-Impact’s funding also pays for the time of a community manager and the cost for using Mighty Networks, our platform. This funding is until December 2025, and potentially can go further.
But at the same time, we want to create a community that has freedom and, as one coach said, "emergence", where we take the community in directions we wish—even covering things beyond systems change! This is why we are taking ownership of the community by investing, among other things, our own money into it. We hope that Co-Impact and other like-minded funders will invest in this incredible community long into the future, but we want to create a model that will not be dependent on that.
For this first year, the fees can go to things like paying for certain in-person convening costs, honoraria for invited speakers, and the like—things that directly benefit or are decided upon by the members. Any remaining funds from membership contributions will be socked away in a “rainy day fund” so we can keep going regardless of any external funding (and as long as we keep wanting to hang out with each other!).
Nope! Get your feet wet and see if the crew at Weave is your tribe, without paying during this three-month free trial period. If you decide to continue after 3 months, that’s only when you will be charged the monthly membership fee.
We want to preserve the special intimacy of a small group—which is something that makes this community unique. This means that we do not aspire to grow so big that we cannot tell each other’s names or favorite breakfasts! So for now, Weave is an invite-only community.
If you feel that there are amazing systems change coaches out there who can be awesome members, please do let Kriz know so we can reach out to them and they can see if they and Weave can be magical together ;-)
We strongly suggest that you download the Mighty Networks app—it just makes getting back regularly into the community easy (otherwise you will need to receive a link via email each time you sign back in... you don't want to know the whole mechanics of that method).
Then do ONE THING that we all skip the first time we enter a new group platform:
But don't copy and paste your usual bio (we can all Google that). Take the first step into weaving yourself into our community and really tell us about you—the you that others who only casually meet you in professional circles don't get to see. See Kriz's attempt at this in her own bio.
Are you intrigued on who you will find there? ;-)
See you there!
